Jesmond
Jesmond has a history dating back to medieval times, with its name believed to derive from “Jesus Mound,” linked to a chapel dedicated to St Mary. Once a rural village outside Newcastle, it expanded during the Victorian era into a fashionable suburb. Today, Jesmond is known for its historic buildings, leafy streets, and vibrant student community.
