Newcastle North MP Catherine McKinnell has welcomed the reopening of the newly refurbished Waitrose store in Jesmond following a multi-million-pound investment.
The Osborne Road supermarket has reopened its doors following a major refurbishment, with local residents turning out to see the new and improved store.
Catherine McKinnell MP joined staff and shoppers to mark the reopening and welcomed the investment in the popular Jesmond store.
She said:
“It was fantastic to see such a great turnout for the reopening of the newly refurbished Waitrose in Jesmond.
“The store has been part of the local community for many years, so it was great to see the investment that has gone into improving it and to catch up with some familiar faces while I was there.”
