Castle ward encompasses the Great Park estate alongside the villages of Hazlerigg and Brunswick. Located on the northern edge of Newcastle upon Tyne, the ward shares boundaries with the neighbouring authorities of North Tyneside and Northumberland, forming a distinct area that combines new residential development with established village communities.

Mark Edwards
Mark is the Newcastle Labour spokesperson for Castle. Having grown up in the area and lived in the local community for most of his life, Mark has strong roots in Castle and a personal understanding of the issues facing residents. His father is a well-known and respected local parish priest serving Brunswick and Hazlerigg, giving Mark a longstanding connection to the community.
