Chapel ward is a suburban electoral district situated on the western edge of Newcastle. It mainly covers the residential areas of Chapel House and Chapel Park, which were developed as private housing estates during the mid-1960s and early 1970s. The ward reflects the city’s post-war expansion into new suburban communities.
