Your Labour councillors have acted after residents raised concerns about litter and fly-tipping on Wingrove Avenue, ensuring the issue was reported and cleared by Newcastle City Council’s environmental services team.
Keeping neighbourhoods clean, safe and welcoming is a key priority for Labour councillors in Wingrove who continue to work with residents and council teams to tackle local issues and improve the places people are proud to call home.
After concerns were raised by residents and councillors, the council team responded quickly to remove the waste and restore the area.
Labour Councillor Joyce McCarty said:
“Residents rightly expect their streets to be clean, tidy and well looked after. When people raise concerns with us, we make sure their voices are heard and work with the council to get issues resolved.
“Litter and fly-tipping are not acceptable, and that’s why Labour councillors will continue to stand up for our neighbourhoods and work hard to make sure local environmental issues are tackled.
“I’d encourage anyone who spots litter or fly-tipping to report it so that council teams can take action as quickly as possible. By working together with residents, we can keep Wingrove a cleaner, greener place to live.”
Labour councillors are continuing to work with communities across Wingrove to address local concerns, improve public spaces and ensure residents have neighbourhoods they can be proud of.
