We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Kevin Keegan, one of the most iconic figures in the history of Newcastle United and English football.
Kevin’s impact on Newcastle United was transformational. Appointed manager in 1992, he led the club away from the brink of relegation to the Third Division, masterminded promotion to the Premier League and built the unforgettable “Entertainers” side whose exhilarating football captured the imagination of supporters across the country. More than the results and the football, Kevin restored belief, pride and ambition to a city that had longed for hope.
His connection with Newcastle went far beyond the touchline. He embraced the city, understood its people and became a symbol of everything supporters cherish about their club: passion, commitment and an unwavering belief that anything was possible. His legacy will forever be woven into the fabric of Newcastle’s history.
