Labour representatives Joyce McCarty and Rebecca Shatwell recently met with Rev James McGowan to hear about exciting ideas for the future of the Parish Hall at St James’ and St Basil’s Church.
The Church has begun sharing early proposals for the redevelopment of the hall and is keen to hear the views of local residents as plans continue to take shape. The project aims to explore how the space can best serve the community in the years ahead.
Councillor Joyce McCarty said:
“It was great to meet with Rev James and hear about the vision for the future of the Parish Hall. Community spaces like this are incredibly important, they bring people together, support local groups and provide a place where residents can connect.
“I’m pleased that residents are being invited to share their thoughts at this early stage. Listening to the community and making sure local voices are reflected in future plans is really important.”
