Work continues on the £15million redevelopment of the former Dunblane Crescent flats site.
The scheme will see a mix of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes as well bungalows, apartments for over 55s and specialised accommodation for adults with autism or learning difficulties.
Denton Labour Councillors Dan Greenhough, Melissa Davis and Simon Bird met with residents during the consultation to discuss the scheme and continue to work with the developers to raise issues on behalf of residents.
Dan Greenhough commented “The scheme is progressing and it is a good housing mix which is great for the area, especially the additional bungalows and affordable rented apartments for over 55s
“The scheme is another example of Newcastle Labour securing affordable housing for residents and mixed housing developments across the city”.
Melissa Davis added “During construction there has been some disruption for residents and we continue to work with Keepmoat and Newcastle City Council to address these issues and minimise the disruption to local residents. If any residents experience problems, please do get in touch.”
