Your Benwell and Scotswood Labour councillors were delighted to support the Annual General Meeting of the St James Heritage & Environment Group, celebrating the outstanding work the organisation does to preserve the area’s rich history and improve the local environment.
The group, led by Judith Green and a dedicated team of volunteers, has played an important role in protecting Benwell’s heritage while enhancing historic spaces for local residents to enjoy. Their passion and commitment have helped ensure that the area’s unique history continues to be celebrated for future generations.
The AGM provided an opportunity to recognise the invaluable contribution made by everyone involved and to thank the volunteers whose hard work has made such a positive difference to the community.
