Ouseburn Labour welcomes a £14,900 award to Shieldfield Art Works to improve access to its workshop and gallery.
The award is part of £400,000 announced for 20 voluntary and community organisations across Newcastle through the Labour Government’s Pride in Place Impact Fund.
Shieldfield Art Works provides a place for creative activity, exhibitions and community participation. Better access to the workshop and gallery should make it easier for more residents and visitors to take part in the organisation’s programme.
An Ouseburn Labour spokesperson said:
“Shieldfield Art Works brings people together through creativity, and this practical investment should help more people use its workshop and gallery. We welcome the award and thank everyone involved in securing it.”
