Walker Labour welcomes confirmation that Pottery Bank Community Centre is among 20 voluntary and community organisations receiving support through the Labour Government’s Pride in Place Impact Fund.
£400,000 in grants across the city have been confirmed after receiving 68 applications. Awards range from £10,700 to £30,000 and are intended to fund practical improvements to community buildings and neighbourhood spaces.
Based at Yelverton Crescent in Walker, the centre provides community rooms, activities, a food hub, a café and other local services. Its own published information describes its aim as bringing people together and supporting wellbeing for people of all ages.
