Your local Wingrove ward Labour team are delighted that the Labour government has now agreed that they will support some of the poorest families in the country by scrapping the two-child benefit cap that was introduced by the previous Tory government. This will help over 60,000 children in the region who currently live in poverty, even though many of those families are working.
Many other residents are struggling on low incomes too but support to ensure you are getting what you are entitled to is available, funded by the Wingrove Ward Committee. The session is held in Fenham library on Fenham Hall Drive on Mondays between 12 noon and 2.30 pm. This makes a difference for so many people.
