Today marks one year since you elected me to be your local councillor in Lemington ward. I have really enjoyed getting stuck in and thought I’d give you a snap shot of some of the things I have been up to in my first year as your representative working alongside my ward colleague Councillor Barry Phillipson.
Since I was elected last year I have:
✅ Dealt with 298 pieces of casework from Lemington ward residents.
✅ Attended 99 meetings and briefings.
✅ Attended 28 full council meetings where I have made 5 speeches and voted on 100% of votes.
✅ Attended 43 community events.
✅ Organised 7 litter picks and 2 pop up recycling events.
✅ Held 14 advice surgeries, and a further 9 street surgeries.
✅ Held 48 ward walkabouts, and a further 3 estate walkabouts with housing officers.
✅ Delivered over 8000+ Labour Voice leaflets to residents.
✅ Met regularly with colleagues from Northumbria Police, Tyne and Wear Fire Service, and officers from various council departments.
