Labour Continues Supporting Residents Through the Cost of Living Crisis

As households continue to face rising living costs, Labour councillors are ensuring local residents can access the financial support they are entitled to.

Labour councillors fund a dedicated weekly Welfare Rights Adviser service, helping people navigate the benefits system and maximise their income.

The service has continued throughout the pandemic and beyond, supporting around 40 residents each week.

On average, each resident helped has secured an additional £4,370 in financial support.

At a time when many families are struggling, Labour believes no one should miss out on the help they deserve.

The Welfare Rights Service remains available remotely, providing expert advice on benefits and social security.
