Today Cllr Dan Greenhough was joined by our local MP Chi Onwurah and community campaigner Vince Barry-Stanners for a visit to Denton Youth and Community Project – a brilliant local organisation at the heart of our local community.
They spent time with the young people who make this space their own, chatting about life in the area, the role of elected representatives, and what it means to be part of a strong, supportive community. There was also a reenactment of a school day and some delicious Nutella Bows being made – a perfect mix of laughter, learning, and leadership.
DYCP is a shining example of what happens when we invest in young people and trust communities to lead. It builds confidence, nurtures ambition, and creates a sense of belonging that lasts a lifetime.
Labour will always back projects like this – because we know they make a real, tangible difference to young people’s futures.
