Yesterday Cllrs Stephen Barry-Stanners and Barry Phillipson joined our local MP Chi Onwurah on a visit to Lemington Scouts as part of UK Parliament Week.
It was brilliant to hear Chi talking to the young people about her role as an MP and to hear the questions from the young people on a wide range of topics from flytipping, to public transport, the NHS and the cost of school uniforms, and so much more.
Young people in our community and our city more widely often get a bad rep, but these young people show that this next generation is engaged, thoughtful and ambitious for their futures. They are a credit to Lemington and the wider City.
