Today Cllr Stephen Barry-Stanners attended the Newcastle Outer West Neighborhood Network event to meet with organisations delivering services in communities in Lemington Ward and across the wider Outer West of our city.
He spoke with Action for Children about their work at the Charlton Street Hub in Lemington and how Councillor Barry Phillipson and he can support their work in our roles as your local councillors.
Attending events like these, where organisations discuss how they can support each other and the council consults on upcoming contracts for community based services, is important to Stephen and Barry because it helps keep them apprised of the services available to local residents. That way, if you ever need support and your Labour councillors are not the best people to help, they can signpost or make a referral for you to the people who can.
