Labour councillors Stephen Barry-Stanners and Barry Phillipson are pleased to have secured investment to remove ageing equipment at the Maple Close play area in Dumpling Hall and replace it with six new pieces of equipment.
The new equipment has been chosen following a consultation with pupils from Waverley Primary School, and includes a birds nest swing, seesaw, spinners, and spring toys, which provides a wide range of equipment for different ages with installation due to be completed later this week.
This is part of a wider piece of work to ensure that the play areas in Lemington ward are at a suitable standard with over £134,000 worth of investment in play equipment in the last two years.
