Labour councillors Clare Penny-Evans, Lara Ellis, and Mehrban Sadiq have spent the summer brightening up Heaton. They have painted the seating areas in the ward, and have kept the planters maintained, They have also been out doing regular litter picking.
Clare said “We love it when people come up and speak to us when we are out doing some community tidying, cleaning or painting, thanks to everyone who did so! We spent the summer painting the benches at created some ‘Happy to Chat’ benches on Chillingham Road”.
