It’s been a busy day of festive fun here in Denton & Westerhope – and your local Labour team has been getting stuck in!
This Morning Vince Barry-Stanners, Emmanuel Alawode and Chi Onwurah MP went to Westerhope Methodist Church for their Christmas Coffee Morning – enjoying some delicious cakes, picking up some stocking fillers, and sharing in the festive fun!
Then they joined Zara St Clair at the CDW Food Bank Christmas Market at West Denton Community Church for their Christmas Market – enjoying a great selection of stalls from local businesses (perfect for #SmallBusinessSaturday) and were treated to a great set of Christmas music by local steel pan band ‘Pandemonium’.
Not to rest – Zara then went on to celebrate Christmas with Denton Youth and Community Project and Vince spent the evening celebrating one of our unsung community heroes (Jac of Church of the Holy Spirit, Denton) being installed as a Non-Residential Canon at Newcastle Cathedral!
Thank you to all of the volunteers, businesses and residents who made today so special – it really helped us get in the Christmas Spirit.
