Community safety is a top priority for Labour in Blakelaw and Cowgate.
We have been working hard to tackle anti social behaviour, especially around the Blakelaw Bunker, the Central Grange Estate and nearby play areas.
This has involved different teams working together, including the council, police, housing, youth services and community safety staff. As a result, there are now more patrols, the use of dispersal powers, better CCTV monitoring, regular clean ups and more activities for young people.
Most importantly, residents are at the heart of this work. Your reports and feedback help us target problems and make sure the improvements last.
Ian Tokell said, “This work is already making a difference, and we will not stop until every resident feels safe and supported.”
