With over 9000 people on the waiting list for council housing and high demand for social housing, it is vital that local people have access to good quality private rented accommodation.
We know that there are some good landlords in Arthur’s Hill but we also know that many of you are living in poor and overcrowded conditions which can have a negative impact on your help and can exacerbate the problems we see with litter and fly tipping.
That is why your Labour run council has invested in more work to tackle these problems by rolling out the Selective Licensing Scheme to include the West End terraces and ensuring that officers are acting proactively to identify and inspect poorly maintained properties then forcing landlords to take action to remedy the problems.
If you have any concerns about properties in your area than please let the Labour campaign team know and we will pass these on.
